A Night With Neil Diamond at Alexa Park LV

Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute” Vegas residency show keeps going strong in the “Modern Showrooms Las Vegas” at Alexis Park Las Vegas Hotel.

Neil Diamond is one of the best-selling and most iconic singer/songwriters in contemporary pop-rock music history.

Besides being one of the biggest selling and record-breaking touring artists ever, he’s also created and performed the songs of a generation — including some of the most famous songs on the planet.

In early 2018, shortly before his 77th birthday, Neil Diamond stepped away from live performances after being affected by Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s live performance legacy continues to be kept alive for audiences worldwide through Las Vegas entertainer Rob Garrett, often called “the best of the best”.

Ask Google “who is the best Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll hear the same name.

Like his legendary counterpart, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.

In the spring of 1974, his parents relocated from New York City to Las Vegas, where, in 1976, he witnessed his first Neil Diamond concert when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (now “PH Live”) in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him 16 more times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. concert at the LA Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett created his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a successful 15-year run in Las Vegas and across the nation before transitioning from lead singer of a cover band to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his musical idols.

In 1995, Garrett was personally hired by Paul Revere (of The Raiders) to portray Neil Diamond in the world-famous “Legends in Concert” review.

What was meant to be a short engagement turned into a long-term hit show.

By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to create his own tribute production.

He began a nationwide performance schedule, building a devoted fan base along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute.”

He continues to draw packed houses nationwide, often in venues reserved for national acts.

Garrett has also earned several honors, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19th officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating Rob’s 50 years as a Las Vegas resident and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in this year, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so Rob Garrett Neil Diamond Tribute Show for groups closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has played in more Vegas rooms than any peer.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only continuous Neil Diamond tribute in the U.S..

The Alexis Park Resort is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., just ¼ mile west of Paradise Rd..
